Bell Tower System Restored After Extended Maintenance Delay

With daylight saving time, the sound of the bells has returned, after a month of silence. During this entire period, the clock on the bell tower also remained stopped. Everyone was eagerly awaiting the return of the bells, especially the elderly, who have been living with the bronze bells since their early childhood.

Maintenance Interventions

However, it was not the bells that needed maintenance and revision, but rather the electrical and mechanical system that makes them move and ring. Today, indeed, the bells also operate with technology and electronics.

Therefore, the parish had to open its wallet to ensure that the bell system is in order, just like all the other structures of the parish church, which is now almost fully restored.

Timing of interventions and consequences

The electrical system was supposed to remain in the workshop for a few days, at most a couple of weeks. But that was not the case because the maintenance took much longer.

The dust raised during the restoration work inside the church caused significant damage. That’s why the town was without the clock and bells for longer than expected.

Return to normality

Since Sunday, however, everything has returned to normal, to the satisfaction of the parish priest and parishioners.
