Alto Garda Ferry Service Triples Capacity for Easter Rush
The Limone-Riva del Garda ferries and vice versa transport 400 vehicles per day in one direction. Soon, with the arrival of Easter holidaymakers, this number is expected to more than triple. An impossible task.
To resolve the issue that threatens to strangle the tourism and commercial economy of Alto Garda, operators are loudly requesting occasional partial reopenings of the Gardesana Ovest, interrupted by the devastating landslide of December 21.
Starting Saturday, March 31, the daily ferry service will follow these embarkation times at Limone: 6:05, 7:00, 7:25, 8:20, 9:10, 10:50, 11:30, 12:40, 13:40, 14:20, 15:10, 15:50, 16:30, 17:10, 17:50, 18:50, 20:10, 22:30, 00:10.
Embarkation from Riva: 5:25, 6:20, 6:45, 7:40, 8:10, 9:10, 10:00, 10:50, 11:50, 13:00, 13:40, 14:20, 15:10, 15:50, 16:30, 17:10, 18:10, 19:30, 21:30, 23:30.
The first crossing from Riva at 5:25 and the first from Limone at 6:05 are guaranteed only on weekdays; all other crossings occur every day of the week.
The new schedule, effective from Saturday, March 31, will remain in place until May 19. Thus continues Navigarda‘s effort to meet the demands of motorized users by increasing the service capacity.
