Puegnago Honors Top Students in 1999-2000 Awards Ceremony

Tomorrow afternoon, starting at 4 p.m., the conference room of the Municipio di Puegnago will host the award ceremony for nine young students who excelled during the 1999-2000 school year.

Their names? Michele Crescini, Nives Avanzini, Patrick Ferrari, Fabio Delai, and Desi Alberti (each receiving a check for 600,000 lire), Claudia Frattaruolo, Serena Bodei, Stefania Bellini, and Stefania Raggi (each awarded a contribution of half a million lire).

Academic achievements and awards

Three students attended the third year of middle school, graduating with scores of excellent or outstanding; six completed high school, with an average of at least 7.5.

To give greater prominence to the event, President of the Culture Commission, Tiberio Prati, invited several speakers to discuss topics of particular interest.

Giuliana Domenica Sandrone, principal of the Manerba middle school, will talk about the school reform. Armando Albiero from Obiettivo Lavoro will focus on «The Future of the New Job Market».

Federico Jorgalla, president of the Cinefotoclub Valsabbia, will present the exhibition «Landscapes and Characters Around Us». A slide show will follow.

Goals of the municipal administration

Two objectives of the municipal administration: to awaken in the community a heartfelt attention towards those students who stand out in their studies for commitment and cultural enrichment, and to make the young people feel they are particularly valued, with the expectation that they will contribute significantly for their own benefit and that of the entire community.
