Sirmione and Dovadola Commemorate 62nd Anniversary of Beata Benedetta Bianchi Porro’s Passing

Beata Benedetta Bianchi Porro will be commemorated on the 62nd anniversary of her death with two religious services. The first, a solemn celebration, will take place at the Abbey of Dovàdola on January 23 at 11 a.m., where her remains are interred and a cardinal is expected to preside over the Eucharistic concelebration. The second service will be held at the Church of Madonna della Neve in Sirmione on January 25 at 10:30 a.m., led by Bishop Emeritus Francesco Cavina and featuring the local parish choir.

In addition, the three Sirmione parishes are organizing a pilgrimage departing by bus on January 23 at 6:15 a.m., with stops in Colombare, Lugana, and S. Benedetto di Lugana. The trip, including transportation and lunch, costs €50, and reservations are open until January 16 at the participating parishes.
