Gardesano Cultural Operators Training Continues with Local Heritage Events
The first training course for cultural operators on the Gardesano territory, organized by the Federazione delle associazioni gardesane (Federation of Gardesano Associations) with funding from the Regione, continues.
Today at 3 p.m., at the social center of Desenzano in via Castello 80, a lecture by journalist Tullio Ferro on the theme «Important Presences and Stories of Garda» is scheduled. This event is part of a series of meetings with authors of local stories, which so far have covered writers who have published books on Lonato, Desenzano, Polpenazze, Villanuova sul Clisi, San Felice del Benaco, Limo, Tremosine, and upcoming topics including Garda and Gardone Riviera.
Features of the Conferences and Participants
The conferences are held concurrently (and every other Thursday) in the refectory hall of the Desenzano social center and in the Palazzo Fantoni in Salò.
The course, promoted by the Federazione delle associazioni gardesane (Federation of Gardesano Associations), counts on the participation of around fifty scholars from the Gardesano area and neighboring provinces. It started on February 3rd and will continue with educational activities until the end of June.
Practical Activities and Goals
These days, the planned practical internship in the associations that make up the federation has also begun, and it will conclude on September 30th.
The practical part involves the development of tourist-cultural itineraries in Valtenesi and Alto Garda, along with the initiation of a survey of all cultural heritage, which in the future will be integrated into the tourist-cultural management of the Gardesano territory.
The course is directed by Professor Giampietro Brogiolo.

Future Prospects
For next autumn, a conference on Gardesano cultural tourism is also in preparation.
This will be a major synthesis of the work carried out in recent months: from archaeology as a tool for territorial analysis, to ongoing research projects, territorial protection and planning, agricultural and cultural valorization, underwater archaeology, and the relationship between institutions, associations, and entrepreneurship.
