Itinerari Musicali a Tremosine: Celebrating Five Years of Cultural Events

We have reached the fifth edition of our review, and it is now important to summarize and revisit the most significant moments and the strongest emotions.

In five years, we have organized twenty-one concerts, published five presentation booklets with programs, curricula, and historical notes related to the Churches hosting the concerts, requested by libraries and cultural institutions, including foreign ones.

Two training courses for young musicians have been organized, led by maestros Michele Barchi and Paolo Beschi, which received greater response and participation than expected.

Unforgettable moments and new features of this edition

An unforgettable event was Giulio Tampalini’s guitar concert at Villa, as well as the performance by soprano Nadia Engheben in Campione, not to mention the top-level organ concerts held at the Parrocchiale di Vesio on the splendid Callido Organ.

Grand interpretations have always been provided by the Ensemble Barocco, led by Clavichordist Michele Barchi and Cellist Paolo Beschi, true national references in the baroque genre.

This latest edition is characterized by some novelties. First of all, in the number of concerts, which increased from four to five.

We also decided to dedicate a concert to German culture, titled “The Romantic Lied,” on July 31 at the Chiesa Parrocchiale di Pieve, featuring soprano Rosetta Crosatti Silvestri, accompanied on piano by maestro Andrea Rosa.

We also aimed to give a less elitist touch by including the concert of “Coro Montorfano”, on September 9, which will perform folk music; furthermore, for the first time, we will visit the Eremo di San Michele on August 11, a highly cherished place of worship among the tremosinese and tourists, recently restored thanks to the efforts of the Gruppo Alpini di Vesio.

The Gruppo, not new to acts of solidarity and genuine volunteering, contributed once again this year. At this point, it is only right to remember who made all this possible.

Firstly, a thank you to the Municipal Administration which understood and supported our project to promote cultural tourism in Tremosine, providing the necessary financial resources.

We also thank maestro Cesare Maffei, Artistic Director, with whom we have always been in harmony on every decision, and professor Enrico Raggi, a renowned musicologist, for his valuable introductions.

Thanks also to the parish priests of Tremosine, for their constant support, to the friends of the Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano with whom we share cultural goals, to Don Gabriele Scalmana, author of the texts on the Churches, and to everyone at various levels who contributed to reaching the important milestone of the fifth year of the “Itinerari Musicali a Tremosine” review.
