Riccardo Lonati’s New Book Maps Toscolano Maderno Streets and History

The latest literary work by renowned writer and journalist Riccardo Lonati, who hails from Maderno but resides in Brescia, has been published. Its title is «Toscolano Maderno – The Streets Tell Stories».

The volume, published by Tipolitografia Novalito of Carpenedolo, examines, in alphabetical order, all existing streets in Toscolano Maderno and provides readers with their exact locations, including all restaurants, hotels, bars, shops, offices, tobacconists, and other points of interest useful to visitors, mapped along each street’s route.

Furthermore, the book offers biographical details about the personalities after whom each street is named. This is a highly detailed work that can satisfy not only the curiosity of residents, tourists, and visitors.

Contents and Historical Figures

Among the notable figures are statesmen like Cavour and Zanardelli, who passed away in Maderno at the end of 1903, poets such as Carducci, Ariosto, D’Annunzio, and painters like Giotto, Vannucchi, and Celesti.
