Castellaro Flower Festival Showcases Floral Art and Cultural Events

Promoted by the Associazione culturale amici di Castellaro, with the patronage of the Region, the provinces of Mantova, Brescia, and Verona, the Festa dei Fiori (Flower Festival), now in its 10th edition, will attract thousands of visitors to the village of Castellaro Lagusello.

Description of the festival and activities

The festival is characterized by stalls offering items related to flowers, from paintings to ceramics, honey to glassware, books to herbariums, bonsais to essential oils, and by exhibitions on floral themes. The village decor is created with plants, shrubs, and flowers according to a design that aims to enhance every corner.

Events of the opening day

On the opening day of the exhibition, tomorrow from 9:30 AM, in the civic hall, Mantuan naturalist Giorgio Persico will present the results of a research on «Edible Wild Herbs of Mantova», while Dr. Pedro Bengjamin will discuss the theme «Healing with Flowers and Herbs».

In the afternoon, in Corte Uccellanda, the musical group La Rossignol will perform a concert show. Dressed in Renaissance costumes and using period instruments, they will create the atmosphere typical of ancient court festivals through a repertoire of original music.

Duration and presence of exhibitors

The Festa dei Fiori, which will see the Castellaro historic center decorated for 10 days, will come alive with exhibitors and musicians every holiday, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
