Montichiari Hosts 2023 Seridò Education and Play Festival With 70,000 Visitors

Big names arriving this morning in Montichiari for the opening of the new edition of “Serido.” At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the bishop, the prefect, and the president of the Province will participate. The “Festival of Education and Play” typically opens at Montichiari Exhibition Center at 10 a.m., in the presence of leaders from Adasm (the Association of Kindergartens and Nursery Schools) who invented Seridò, representatives from the Exhibition Center, the Municipality of Montichiari, and the Province. Among the invited guests is also Anna Pelucchi, from the Provincial Committee of Unicef, which has granted sponsorship to this event.

Details of the event

We are talking about the fifth edition of an event that involves not only kindergartens from throughout Brescia, but also neighboring provinces and a large delegation coming from Milan. Over the six days of the exhibition (from today until Tuesday, and then on May 5 and 6), more than 70,000 people are expected in Montichiari, mostly children: numerous services are dedicated to them (recreational, sports, and educational) set up to celebrate the end of the school year and lay the groundwork for the new one.

In addition, the event features the actors from “Melevisione,” a TV show particularly popular among young children, and naturally, a stand from Unicef dedicated to the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child. The entire Montichiari fairground, with its 4,500 parking spaces and 10 covered pavilions, will be available for the event and its participants.

Within the 30,000 square meters of covered space inside the pavilions, 62 play points have been set up, offering a series of services for families: nurseries for the youngest children, self-service eateries, and a picnic area. This event always remains within the non-profit sector and intentionally does not have a commercial character: no booths selling products are present.

The official sponsor – Cameo – participates with its logo and simple demonstration elements, while the organization relies on associations and volunteers: more than 500 entertainers will guide children’s activities and ensure their safety. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (only Monday with reduced hours from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.); entry for all children (up to 12 years old) is free, and the ticket price for adults has been set at 10,000 lire.
