Torch Relay Ignites Riva del Garda Bringing Trentino, Veneto, and Lombardy Together

The Olympic Flame for the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Games reached its northernmost point on January 18, 2026, at the confluence of Trentino, Veneto, and Lombardy. The relay involved the XIV FIV Zone and local sailing clubs, connecting Riva del Garda and Torbole via the Circolo Vela Arco, where a pilotina boat carried the torchbearer.

The event was attended by provincial sports and political officials, sailing club presidents, law enforcement, and youth sailors. Gianpaolo Montagni, president of the XIV FIV Zone, and Paola Mora, president of the Trento Provincial CONI, participated, with formal involvement from sailing clubs across Mantova, Parma, Verona, Bolzano, and Trento.
