Valtenesi Music Festival at Soiano Castle Showcases Young Musical Talents

The ancient castle of Soiano del Lago, filled with enthusiastic people, hosted the first edition of the «Valtenesi Music Festival», called «Sing, You… That I Too May SING». The protagonists of the event were singers, bands, and young instrumentalists making their debut in front of an audience.

Participants and Judgments

At the Soiano festival, twenty young people participated, often applauded during their open-stage performances, aged between ten and twenty (as per the regulations). At the end of each performance, a jury highlighted some of them: «They are real promising talents,» was the comment from the experts. Will they become famous?

Moments of the Evening

The evening was hosted by Franco Pozzani and enlivened by magician Richard’s tricks. The idea of the «Valtenesi Music Festival» came from the Coro San Michele of the Soiano parish, directed by maestro Mauro Scappini, a renowned flutist and teacher at the Conservatorio di Reggio Calabria.

Organization and Audience

The organization was managed by the Pro loco, with sponsorship from the municipality’s department of tourism, sport, and entertainment. The performances of the young singers and musicians were repeatedly cheered by the very large audience present.

Thus, a successful evening at the ancient castle of Soiano. And plans are already underway for next year’s edition.
