Amici del Porto Vecchio Presents the 16th Enchanting Night on Lake

The «Amici del Porto Vecchio», led by Marco Cavallaro, are once again presenting for the 16th edition a highly evocative and charming event, «The Enchanting Night on the Lake», which will take place on Saturday, August 11th from 6 PM until midnight.

Program and Activities

Six hours of events featuring good music, lights on the lake, a parade of decorated boats with gondoliers in costume, free theme, and a grand fireworks display.

At 6 PM, in Piazza Malvezzi, the «Amici del Porto Vecchio» will distribute a postcard of the old port at a stand, on which they will stamp a philatelic cancellation mark dedicated to the event.

This unique initiative, now in its second edition, has garnered many supporters among philatelists worldwide. The special cancellation stamp will be taken to the postal philately office in Brescia, where it will remain for 60 days.

Shows and Closing

The program of «The Enchanting Night on the Lake» continues at 9:30 PM in Piazza Malvezzi with a short musical performance by «Italian Graffiti Quartet Orchestra».

After the beautiful melodies, attendees will move 100 meters to the Benaco shore to enjoy the lake’s light show at 10:30 PM: thousands of lights lit on the water surface will create a magical choreography.

The event continues with the parade of festively decorated boats. At 11 PM, spectacular fireworks will light up the sky, attracting thousands of visitors each year.

If the weather is bad, the event will be rescheduled for the following day.
