San Martino Wine Festival Highlights: Events, Sports, and Prizes

It was an immediate success for the Wine Festival organized by the San Martino della Battaglia Sports Group. The gastronomic event has always attracted large crowds of food enthusiasts, offering the opportunity to taste wines and typical dishes from the Lower Lake area.

Venue and activities during the event

The stalls, set up in the sports field, open every day at 7:00 PM, until the evening of Ferragosto. Throughout the duration of the festival, visitors can view a permanent exhibition of painting and sculpture, a charity raffle, and a giant wheel of fortune with valuable prizes. Every evening, from 9:00 PM, an orchestra provides the perfect accompaniment for dance enthusiasts.

Traditional events and sporting activities

The Sports Group, as always, has planned a series of events that have become part of the festival’s tradition. Yesterday afternoon marked the start of the preliminary rounds of the mini-basketball tournament, which will conclude with semifinals and finals this afternoon.

Also today, at 9:00 AM, a must-attend event is the «Family Bicycle Ride», a pleasant opportunity to explore easily accessible routes among the green hills of the morainic area. Then, at 3:00 PM, thanks to the collaboration with the Pianura Padana Dairy Producers Association, the high-precision Tractor Cross race will take place.

In the afternoons of tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at the Social Center, pairs registered for the Triathlon Trophy will compete in card games of briscola, darts, and bocce. Concluding the sporting events, on Wednesday the 15th at 9:00 AM, the «Ferragosto Walk» will kick off, organized in partnership with Atletica Pozzolengo, to compete for the 12th Wine Festival Trophy.

And for everyone, a spectacular finale in the evening at 11:00 PM with a fireworks display curated by Marco Fiorini.
