Veronese Festival culminates with singing, Miss Veneto, and final rounds
Last stage in Veronese territory for the Festival del Garda. This evening at 9:30 PM, in the splendid setting of Villa Carrara Bottagisio, the singing tour will bid farewell to the shores of the Riviera degli Olivi before the final sprint that will see it as protagonist on Thursday in Salò, Saturday in Limone (with the extraordinary participation of Gianluca Grignani), and on August 27th in the final in Riva del Garda.
Regional and National Finals
In Bardolino, the awaited regional final of Miss Cinema Veneto will take place, with the winner earning a direct spot in the national pre-finals of Miss Italia in San Benedetto del Tronto. In Marche, there will be the last elimination round to select the hundred girls who will participate in the Salsomaggiore catwalk. As usual, the event will be broadcast live on RaiUno hosted by Fabrizio Frizzi.
Last year, the adventure started from the shores of Garda for Valentina Serugeri from Verona and Sara Geroin from Povegliano, who entered the group of Italy’s 60 most beautiful girls. And in Bardolino, in the role of hostess alongside the statuesque presenter Susanna Huckstep, will be Valentina, a nineteen-year-old residing in Saval.
Singing Contest and Semifinals
The Festival del Garda continues with the singing contest, with the second semifinal for the interpretation section. Four outstanding contestants are competing, including the Patavian Samantha Dal Maso, winner of the Cavaion stage (A natural woman by Aretha Franklin); the sixteen-year-old from Bologna, Claudia Zamparelli, (I’ve nothing by Forster Thompson), who led in Bedizzole; the lively Simo Turri from Verona, showcased at Bussolengo (L’emozione non ha voce by Celentano); and Nicoletta Mastella from San Bonifacio, a star at Malcesine (Ci vorrebbe il mare by Marco Masini). Only one of the four will advance to the final in Riva.
A great effort is expected from the jury, which will also have to decide who to send to the semifinal for the original songs contest between Paola Beschin from San Giovanni Ilarione (Confessioni) and the Barbara and Stefania Marogna twins from Buttapietra (In the search for a mate).
Experts and Show Guests
As always, the show is packed with guests, featuring the star Elisa Antonelli (Innamorata ancora), produced by Cantalago, the dance troupe of Nando De Bortoli, and cabaret artist Lucio Gardin, whose parody related to digital media is lively. Among the guests is Cristian Pighi, winner of the Festival in 1999, now under contract with Robert Jung, a music executive who owns three of the most important labels in Germany.
