Riva’s Notte di Fiaba Features Live Music, Fairy Tales, and a TV Rehearsal

With the second concert by the Dutch band “Non Melting Ice Cream“, at 4 PM in Piazza Battisti, the first day of Notte di Fiaba opens.

At the same time, children’s games begin in Piazza Cavour: inside the large colorful suitcase of Mary Poppins (one of the papier-mâché setups scattered throughout Riva), there is something for everyone, but all participants can enjoy themselves mainly by creating small flying objects.

Evening Shows and Activities

Later, at 6:30 PM in the inner courtyard of the Rocca, the group “bandus – i narratori” will read fairy tales, while in Piazza Cavour, an Academia del ballo e della danza performance will take place (starting at 9:30 PM).

Still at the Rocca, at 11 PM, the theatrical show “Fiabole” by cabaret artist Anna Meacci will be performed, who will retell famous fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and The Cat with Boots, in her own reinterpretation.

Rehearsals and Main Event

The event that will most pique the curiosity of Riva residents is scheduled in Piazza Tre Novembre. Here, starting from 9 PM, rehearsals for the television program “Una Notte di Fiaba” presented by Anna Falchi will take place.

Unlike the actual show, which will be recorded by Rai Uno tomorrow evening and can only be attended by invitation, the rehearsals are free and open to everyone.

Among the expected participants are singers Albano and Ivana Spagna, André de la Roche, an internationally renowned jazz dancer, magician Van Denon, and the group Les Tambours du Bronx, twenty French musicians who play by beating sticks on metal drums.
