Gardesano Heritage Workshop at Padenghe Sul Garda Explores Conservation
“Knowing to Enhance” is the theme of an important workshop scheduled for next Saturday, September 15, in Padenghe sul Garda. “Sant’Emiliano, Gateway to Gardesano Cultural Heritage” is the subtitle of this event, which will take place across two venues and in three phases: the first, starting at 9:30 a.m., at the conference hall of the BCC del Garda on via Barbieri; the second, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at the Church of Sant’Emiliano, followed by a roundtable discussion at 4:30 p.m.
First part of the morning
During the morning session, after greetings from Giancarlo Allegri, Mayor of Padenghe, Giampietro Brogiolo from the University of Padova will speak on the topic “Gardesano Archaeologies”. This will be followed by architects Boriani and Cazzani of the Politecnico di Milano discussing “Issues of protection and conservation of the cultural landscape”.
Second part of the morning
Next, Guenzi from the Bocconi University of Milan will speak about “Management of cultural heritage”. Before the “Rustic Snack on Sant’Emiliano’s Spinata”, Berveglieri of the Sapienza University of Rome will present on “Lower Garda between agriculture and proto-industry”.
Early afternoon
The sessions will resume with the presentation titled “Gardesano tourist-cultural itineraries”, featuring posters created by students of the “Course for Cultural Operators in the Gardesano Territory”. At 2:45 p.m., don Bruno Negretto, parish priest of Padenghe, will greet the attendees, followed by Walter Romagnoli, head delegate of the FAI of Garda.
Local discussions and presentations
At 3:00 p.m., under the theme “Sant’Emiliano: A Proposal for Recovery”, local issues will be discussed. Panelists include: Dr. Cervini from the University of Padova presenting “Stratigraphic analysis”; Ing. Maselli of Tecno Futur Service with “Degradation analysis”; Prof. Quaglia from INCRES discussing “Wall Paintings”; and Architect Leva from LAIRA presenting “Restoration Project”.
Conclusion and roundtable discussion
Finally, starting at 4:30 p.m., a roundtable will be held with the participation of: Viviana Beccalossi, Vice President and Agriculture Assessor of the Regione Lombardia; Stefano Saglia, Deputy of the Province of Brescia; Gasperini, Director of the U.O. Museums and Archaeological Heritage of Regione Lombardia; Giusseppe Mongiello, President of the Garda Community; Dr. Ardovino, Archaeological Superintendent for Lombardia and Superintendent for Architectural and Landscape Heritage of Brescia, Mantova, Cremona; Eng. Giancarlo Allegri, Mayor of Padenghe sul Garda; and don Tiziano Brusco, Head of Cultural Heritage of the Verona Curia, which the Catholic Community of Padenghe depends on.
Organization
The coordination of the event is entrusted to Carlo Simoni, director of Grafo Edizioni in Brescia. The organization of this event is managed by the federation of Gardesano Culture-Environment Associations and is part of the course for Cultural Operators in the Gardesano Territory.
