The awarded poems and other meritorious works were compiled, as usual, into a book from the «Poeti di Dipende» series published by «Indipendentemente». These are the awarded poets.

Origin and Organization of the Prize

The prize, established in 1999 on an idea by Pietro Lussignoli to remember his wife Lydia Vallino, received heartfelt participation from the Pro loco, the Commissione Cultura, and the library of Soiano, who for three years have organized the national contest and the evocative awards ceremony inside the Castello.

The evening, hosted by Raffaella Visconti, president of the Pro loco of Soiano, featured moments of remarkable emotion, thanks to the performances of the winning poems read by actors Angelica Turrina and Fausto Ghirardini of the artistic group Vindanze, and the special effects by the «Compagnia de Riultéla», which enhanced the beautiful scenery of the Castello di Soiano.

Awards and Participants

This year, Tancredi Muchetti also offered a piece of his work as a prize, and there were special awards for those who have participated in the contest from the beginning, along with floral tributes from local nurseries.

The evening was attended by Mayor Roberto Rossato and Councilor Mario Minini, who awarded the winners.

Many children from Soiano, Polpenazze, Padenghe, Rivoltella, and Desenzano, who participated in the competition, concluded the event by reciting their works in front of the buffet arranged by local restaurateurs.
