The Jury and the Publication
The jury, chaired by Mr. Pietro Lussignoli and composed of Velise Bonfante, Rachele Comincini, Eugenio Farina, Gabriella Minini, and Barbara Rizza, had to select the winning poems from a shortlist of thirty finalists.
The awarded poems and other deserving works have been collected, as usual, in a book from the “Poeti di Dipende” Collection by the independent publisher, marking the fourth book dedicated to the competition.
The Prize, founded in 1999 on the idea of Pietro Lussignoli to honor the memory of his wife Lydia Vallino, has received heartfelt participation from the Proloco, Cultura Commission, and Biblioteca di Soiano who have been organizing the national contest and the enchanting award ceremony at the castle for the past three years.
The Award Ceremony Evening
The evening, brilliantly hosted by Dr. Raffaella Visconti, president of the Soiano Proloco, featured moments of great emotion thanks to the interpretation of the winning poems by actors Angelica Turrina and Fausto Ghirardini from the artistic group Viandanze, alongside the special effects by the “Compagnia de Riultéla” that beautifully enhanced the splendid setting of Soiano Castle.
This year, Tancredi Muchetti also contributed by donating one of his works, and there were special prizes for longtime participants, along with floral tributes from the local nurseries.
The event was attended by the Mayor Roberto Rossato and Councilor Mario Minini, who awarded the winners.
Many children from Soiano, Polpenazze, Padenghe, Rivoltella, and Desenzano participated in the contest, ending the event by reciting their compositions in front of an elegant feast prepared by the local restaurateurs of Soiano.
