Autumn Gastronomy of San Zeno: Cheese, Chestnuts, Truffles Tasting

From September 27 to December 30, 2001, in San Zeno di Montagna (Verona), on the Monte Baldo side overlooking Lake Garda, an exhibition takes place featuring a series of tasting menus based on local products: cheeses, chestnuts, and truffles.

Autumn Gastronomy and Themed Menus

As part of the Autumn Gastronomy of San Zeno di Montagna program, from September 27 to October 7, coinciding with the traditional San Michele fair, which marks the end of the alpine pasture season, the Kus tavern hosts Far San Michél: cheeses. This event offers a menu based on dairy products paired with a Sicilian red wine, Nuhar from Rapitalà (55,000 lire per person, including the wine).

Menus Dedicated to Chestnuts and Marroni

From October 18 to November 25, focus shifts to the San Zeno marron and the Baldo chestnuts, featured in tasting menus at the restaurants Costabella, Giardinetto Kus, and La Casa degli Spiriti (prices from 50,000 to 100,000 lire, wine included), paired with Garda wines: Garda Corvina Lamberti until November 5, and Bardolino Novello I Soli Lamberti from November 6.

The Black Truffle of Baldo

From December 1 to 30, the black truffle of Baldo appears in tasting menus at the restaurants Giardinetto, Kus, and La Casa degli Spiriti (prices from 65,000 to 120,000 lire, including wine), paired with Valpolicella Le Solane Santi.
