Desenzano Hosts Community Health Conference on Diabetes with Dr. Grazioli Schagerl

Salute Comunità Territorio is hosting a free conference on diabetes titled “The Sweet Deception: Everything You Want to Know About Diabetes” on Friday at 8:00 PM in the middle school auditorium. The event will focus on risk factors and lifestyle’s role in diabetes, featuring a presentation by biologist and researcher Dr. Simone Grazioli Schagerl.

Dr. Grazioli Schagerl will explain the biological basis of diabetes, including concepts like metabolic stress and insulin resistance. She will also discuss how factors such as sedentary behavior, sleep disturbances, pollution, food additives, and psychological stress contribute to the disease, offering practical tips on diet and physical activity to mitigate these risks.
