SìAmo Sirmione Addresses Overtourism at January 30th Event

Sirmione’s SìAmo Sirmione association will host a discussion on overtourism and its economic impacts on January 30, 2026, at 8:30 PM in the historic center. The event will feature Cristina Nadotti, author of “Il turismo che non paga,” along with Andrea Casadei, Tourism Practice Manager at Almaviva, and moderator Giacomo Ballerini.

The municipality, led by Mayor Antonio Pezzano, has established a steering committee on tourism policies but denied official sponsorship for the event, citing the need to address the topic within the committee. SìAmo Sirmione criticized this decision, arguing that local citizens are not involved in the process.
