San Sebastian Festival and Vehicle Blessing in Salò
Salò hosted its annual celebration for San Sebastiano, patron saint of the Local Police, on Tuesday, February 20. The event included a Mass at the Duomo di Salò officiated by Mons. Gianluigi Carminati, attended by Mayor Francesco Cagnini, Gardone Riviera Mayor Adelio Zeni, and representatives from approximately 25 police commands from Valtenesi, Basso Garda, Valsabbia, Alto Garda, and Brescia hinterland.
The ceremony featured a prayer for police protection, blessing of service vehicles and personnel, and moments of interaction between active officers and retirees. The event concluded with a group photo, a communal meal at the Garda Volunteers’ headquarters in Cunettone di Salò, and acknowledgment of Police Chief Stefano Traverso for organizing the event.
