Desenzano Hosts Special Concert for Saint Angela Merici on January 24, 2026

Desenzano del Garda will host the “Concert for Saint Angela Merici” on January 24, 2026, at 9:00 PM in the church of Sant’Angela Merici. The event, organized by the local municipality and the Banda Cittadina di Desenzano, is free to attend and will be conducted by Maestro Davide Pozzali, featuring a program dedicated to the religious and civic celebration.

Saint Angela Merici, born around 1474 in Le Grezze, Desenzano, founded the Company of Saint Ursula in 1535 and was canonized in 1807. She died in Brescia in 1540 and was officially named the city’s patroness in 1962 by the Holy Congregation of Rites.
