Garda Scammers Impersonate Police to Fraudulently Sell Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
