Salò Launches INSULA Legal Education Program and Exhibits Border Light Photography
Salò’s E. Fermi High School has launched the INSULA project, an educational initiative focused on prison reform and legality, in collaboration with the Salò Municipality and Brescia’s Lombardy Eastern Penitentiary Section. The program’s first event is an exhibition titled “Border Light. At the Edges of Light” by Roberto Ridi, running from January 24 to February 1, 2026, with openings at the school and Sala dei Provveditori, featuring photographs from backstage and a reportage on Pianosa.
The project also includes public talks: on February 12, 2026, lawyer Jacopo Barzellotti will discuss “Crime and Punishment,” and on March 9, 2026, Don Stefano Fontana will address the theme “No One is Lost” regarding incarceration. Additionally, a student trip to Pianosa is scheduled from April 14 to 17, 2026, involving prison visits, photography workshops, sports activities, and meetings with local cooperatives.
