UISP Trail Running Challenge Celebrates First Gir dei Baitei Victory in Marcheno

On January 25, the fourth round of the Uisp Trail Running Challenge took place in Marcheno, featuring the inaugural “Gir dei Baitei” race. The 15 km trail, with 1,000 meters of positive elevation gain, attracted 140 athletes and was organized by Padile Running Team, with support from the Municipality of Marcheno and the Valtrompia Mountain Community.

Andrea Bottarelli (Atletica Valtrompia) won the men’s race in 1:26:01, while Monica Vagni (Angolo Mountain Running) took the women’s title in 1:49:03. The event’s final stage is scheduled for February 22 in Salò, concluding the Challenge with the Magnifica Salodium race.
