Nespresso Expands Capsule Recycling Program to 15 Lombard Communities Starting 2026

Nespresso’s “Da Chicco a Chicco” recycling program, in partnership with Garda Uno and regional partners, expands its capsule collection network starting January 1, 2026. Twelve new collection centers will open across 15 municipalities in Lombardy, increasing the total to 54 points in the region, including existing centers and 26 Nespresso boutiques.

The initiative, which has already recovered 660 tons of used capsules in 2025, enables local operators to send collected capsules to specialized facilities for aluminum and coffee separation. Recovered aluminum is recycled into new products, while the coffee is composted for agricultural use, supporting regional sustainability efforts.
