Vincenzo Prestia Appointed Head of Gynecology at Gavardo Hospital

Vincenzo Massimo Prestia has been appointed as the Director of the Complex Structure of Gynecology at Gavardo Hospital, effective February 1. A specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Prestia was born in Tropea on July 31, 1977, and graduated from the University of Messina in 2005, completing his specialization in 2010. His clinical and scientific focus includes preventive gynecologic oncology and early diagnosis of lower genital tract diseases.

Currently working at ASST Melegnano Martesana, Prestia has led the CervicoVaginal and Vulvar Pathology Service since 2013. He also handles sexually transmitted infections, menopause, and urogynecology. In 2022, he was appointed regional expert for cervical cancer screening in Lombardy, and since 2018, he has served as the regional reference for SICPCV. In 2023, he joined the national board of SICPCV as an auditor and is involved in scientific coordination for various medical associations.
