Montichiari Hosts Guided Tours Exploring Montechiaro’s 1859 History
Montichiari Musei is hosting a series of free “Tea Time Meetings and Conferences” at the Lechi Museum, linked to the exhibition “Montechiaro 1859. Events, Visions, and Encampments,” open until April 26. The first conference is scheduled for February 1 at 4 p.m., featuring Federico Troletti, Angelo Giorgi, and Paolo De Montis discussing the artistic imagination surrounding Montichiari and the Second Italian War of Independence.
Additional conferences will take place on February 15, March 22, April 12, and April 26, with guest speakers covering topics from socio-military history to environmental aspects. Guided tours of the exhibition are also planned for March 22, April 12, and April 26, costing €8 per person, including access to the museum’s permanent collection. The initiative aims to highlight Montichiari’s historical role in 1859 and promote ongoing research into local history and territory.
