Riva del Garda Calls for Proposals on Participatory Budget and Municipal Projects
Riva del Garda has opened its participatory budget process, inviting residents aged 16 and over to submit project proposals by March 10. The initiative allocates a total of €200,000 for community projects across categories such as transportation, parks, sports facilities, education, social services, and agriculture. Eligible proposals should include detailed descriptions, cost estimates, and supporting materials, and will be reviewed for feasibility before being put to an online vote from April 10 to 30.
The program, announced on February 2 by Mayor Alessio Zanoni and Budget Councillor Mario Caproni, features key updates including doubled funding and a lowered participation age. Voting will require digital identification via SPID or electronic ID card. The most popular projects will be funded entirely if their costs match the budget; otherwise, multiple proposals may be approved. Two public meetings are scheduled to explain procedures and present eligible projects.
