Lombardy International Aid Boosts Gaza Projects to Support Communities and Children
International cooperation remains central to the Lombardia-Gaza projects, funded under regional law n. 20/1989 and presented during the regional council session supported by the Gaza and West Bank populations support intergroup. The initiatives, introduced by officials including Deputy Raffaele Cattaneo and President Attilio Fontana, focus on humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Three projects received regional funding: Fonti di Pace provided €44,000 for medical and psychological care to 362 civilians; Pro Terra Sancta allocated €135,000 for food vouchers, economic aid, and clothing for families and children; Cesvi distributed 1,590 cubic meters of drinking water to displaced persons and improved sanitation services for thousands across Gaza’s camps.
