Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda to Promote Fake Magazine Subscriptions
They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to the army‘s magazines.
These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipality guards.
How to Recognize Scams
They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement forces.
