Salò Hosts Summit on Coexistence and Respect with Brown Bears
The CAI Salò is hosting a public event titled “Man and Bear” on February 5th at 8:30 PM in the Fermi High School auditorium to promote understanding of the brown bear and strategies for coexistence in the Brescia highlands. The session aims to educate residents on behaviors and precautions to foster respectful interactions with wildlife, following recent bear incursions in the area.
The event will be led by veterinarian Alessandro de Guelmi, an expert in wildlife management and bear conservation, who previously managed bear welfare in Trento from 2014 to 2019. The talk is part of the “Stories and Voices of the Mountain” series, and attendance is free, subject to seat availability.
