Lombardy’s Regional Government Approves 2026-2028 Tourism Development Plan
The Lombardy Regional Government has approved the two-year tourism development plan for 2026-2028, focusing on quality, sustainability, and attractiveness. The document, proposed by Deputy Minister Debora Massari, outlines strategic objectives and initiatives for the sector, and will now be sent to the Regional Council for final approval.
The plan aims to capitalize on the sector’s recovery, with over 55 million tourist visits expected in 2024 (+26.1% compared to 2019). It emphasizes personalized experiences, digital innovation, AI integration, regional branding, skill development, and coordinated communication to promote sustainable growth and balanced tourism flows across Lombardy.
