Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Trick Hoteliers and Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, proposing subscriptions to the arma‘s magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or magazines unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
