Silvia Gottardi Champions Energy Saving by Cycling from Paris to Cortina

On February 16, Italy’s National Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles Day, cyclist and blogger Silvia Gottardi will begin a 1,400 km bikepacking journey from Paris to Cortina to promote eco-friendly travel. The ride, passing through Digione, Lausanne, Milan, and Verona, aims to raise awareness about sustainable living and will include daily updates on the Caterpillar program and meetings with environmental groups such as APE.

Gottardi will use a Specialized Diverge STR gravel bike equipped with GIVI‑Bike’s Extreme line, including various bikepacking bags. Having tested these products on an 820 km Patagonia route, she plans to highlight zero-impact lifestyles and assess the sustainability of the 2026 Winter Olympics, which are being called the greenest ever by media.
