They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

It is not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or that have nothing to do with law enforcement forces.
