Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Phone Fraud Alerts

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to military magazines of the arm.

These are not military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance, police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri – simply dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
