Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to the army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

How to Recognize Scams

They often suggest subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement.
