Verona-Garda Railway Gets Boost as New Commissioner Fast-Tracks Bardolino Project

The Verona-Garda railway project has advanced following the appointment of a special commissioner by Minister Matteo Salvini to oversee the planning process, focusing on connecting Verona Porta Nuova station with Lake Garda. Bardolino Mayor Daniele Bertasi welcomed the move, highlighting regional support and the involvement of local representatives, including regional councilor Elisa De Berti and deputy Paola Boscaini.

Bertasi emphasized that this development provides a foundation for operational collaboration and further project development to benefit Bardolino and the Garda area. The mayor expressed readiness to establish a working group with the commissioner, regional authorities, and stakeholders to improve transportation links, vital for local mobility, tourism, and economic growth.
