On Italy’s 112 Day, Lombardy’s 112 emergency service reported handling over 60 million calls since its launch in 2010, with an average response time of five seconds. In 2025, the three regional call centers received nearly 4.9 million calls, with approximately 2.36 million forwarded to relevant authorities, including healthcare, police, fire brigade, and coast guard.

The Lombardy call centers—Varese (active since 2010), Milan (since 2013), and Brescia (since 2014)—serve a combined population of over 9 million residents. They are equipped with multilingual and accessibility features, including systems for deaf users and emergency buttons in hospitals, ensuring rapid response and coordination among emergency services.
