Sirmione Launches 17th Photography Award Featuring Six Contests and Exhibitions

The 17th edition of the Sirmione Photography Award (2026) features a revamped, inclusive program centered around six competitions, including the Sirmione Photo Residency (applications due March 31, 2026) and the Lake Garda Photo Challenge, which offers a €1,500 prize and is open until October 31. Other contests include the Teens Photo Marathon on April 19, the Sirmione 10% Photo Marathon in July, and the Sirmione Photo Marathon in October.

The event, organized by the Municipality of Sirmione, also offers side activities such as workshops, exhibitions, and talks. Notable highlights include a workshop for Teens winners at the Grotte di Catullo, themed competitions like “In the Heart of the Night,” and exhibitions like “If trees could speak” opening March 21 and “Wound | Ferita” running from July 18 to September 27. Discussions with photographers Mattia Marzorati and Michele Smargiassi are scheduled for May 22 and autumn, respectively.
