Lonato Struggles to Coordinate Public Meetings Ahead of Elections
Lonato Insieme, a civic list contesting the upcoming local elections, has reported difficulties in organizing public meetings in Lonato del Garda’s frazioni, citing repeated refusals of public and private spaces. The group claims that the municipal administration has denied access to venues, citing political reasons, and has used private spaces for official events instead.
The list states that requests to use municipal facilities, considered collective property meant to ensure impartiality, have been rejected, while private spaces were used by the administration under the guise of institutional roles. Despite a formal request to the mayor for clarification and equal access, no response has been received, and the group intends to continue engaging with citizens.
