Lombardy Launches Italy’s First Digital Platform to Boost Wine Tourism

Lombardia has launched Italy’s first national digital platform dedicated to enotourism, connecting wine regions, wineries, and the DOP economy. The initiative, presented by regional officials and industry representatives, aims to promote local wine tourism and integrate it into the broader DOP economic framework, valued at approximately €3 billion in Lombardy.

The project, promoted by Ascovilo, will initially involve member consortia, mapping regional wine offerings and developing content with local entities and wine routes. It emphasizes digitalization to enhance visibility and booking capabilities, with plans to expand to other regions and support sustainable rural income and generational renewal.
