Riva del Garda’s Scenic Elevator Resumes Service at Venetian Bastion
The panoramic inclined elevator at Bastione in Riva del Garda has reopened, offering a quick connection from the city center to the Venetian fortress. The glass-enclosed cabin covers 208 meters in approximately three minutes, ascending 130 meters to the Bastione Lounge & Restaurant, with a maximum capacity of 17 passengers.
The elevator operates with paid tickets at €6 for a single trip and €9 for round-trip, though children under 11, disabled individuals (accompanied by a paying adult), and service animals can ride free. The structure allows one wheelchair or stroller per trip, and tickets for certain categories are issued upon request at the service desk. The Bastione, built between 1507 and 1508, is accessible via a 20-minute trail from the city center.
