Giovanni Segantini Exhibition Returns to Arco Featuring Works from St. Moritz Collections

The Civica Gallery Segantini in Arco has reopened with an exhibition dedicated to Giovanni Segantini, a collaboration between the Arco and St. Moritz museums. The exhibit traces the artist’s entire career through works from the local collection, Engadine collection, and private lenders, including the returning “Autumn Sun” from Bassano del Grappa.

The exhibition features early works from the 1880s, including pieces from the Navigli series and sketches from the Brianteo period, along with Swiss period paintings such as “Cembro Branch” and “Propaganda” from St. Moritz. It also displays for the first time in Arco a complete set of engravings by Segantini’s sons, Gottardo and Mario. The show runs until May 3, 2026, with extended hours and a special opening on April 6, and will later travel to St. Moritz until the end of 2026 before returning to Arco in 2027.
