Lombardy Funds Renovation of Toscolano Maderno’s Ugo Locatelli Stadium

The Ugo Locatelli stadium in Toscolano Maderno is set for redevelopment after receiving regional funding approved by the Lombardy Region on March 16. The project, included in the city council’s 2026-28 budget adjustments, involves a €945,000 upgrade with a €284,000 grant and €661,000 municipal investment, partly funded through parking revenue.

Planned improvements include a new bar area, synthetic turf refurbishment, and upgraded lighting for evening matches. Construction is scheduled to begin by July 30. Additionally, a €200,000 project will create a 16-space parking lot on Via Religione. The stadium is named after Ugo Locatelli, a notable footballer and Olympic gold medalist born in Toscolano Maderno in 1916.
