Lazise Launches Garda 2030 Lab to Boost Sustainable Tourism and Regional Growth
Lazise hosted the “Laboratorio Garda 2030” on March 21, a workshop focused on sustainable tourism, territorial development, and community participation. Organized by the Lazise Municipality and BCC Garda in collaboration with the University of Bologna and the Catholic University’s Tourism Observatory, the event gathered researchers, local operators, and residents to discuss themes such as water, land, and community, emphasizing the concept of tourists as “temporary residents.”
Survey results from 293 residents indicated that 40% prefer maintaining current visitor levels with improved services, while only 4.9% prioritize increasing tourism numbers. Over 63% advocate for greater investment in community services, and more than 85% emphasize the importance of coexistence between residents and visitors. The workshop aims to continue as a permanent forum for dialogue and planning.
