Riva del Garda Hosts Public Forum on Gender Violence Prevention

On April 13, Riva del Garda’s Palazzo dei Congressi will host the public event “Stronger Than Violence,” focusing on gender-based violence prevention and gender equity in sports. The event, scheduled for 7:00 PM, features a discussion between sociologist and former player Alessia Tuselli and Gino Cecchettin, organized by Pallavolo C9 Arco-Riva as part of the She Leads project.

The event follows the recent establishment of the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation by her family after her murder in November 2023. The foundation aims to promote educational programs and support services to combat gender violence, while Pallavolo C9 Arco-Riva has launched an internal initiative to foster respect and equality within its youth and senior teams, targeting local sports associations but open to the broader community by reservation.
