Castelnuovo Announces Free Parking at Gardaland Following Court Ruling

Castelnuovo’s municipality has announced that, following the 2023 final ruling by the Council of State, parking at Gardaland will now be free. The decision applies to parking areas classified as private property with public use restrictions, which the court found to have been managed commercially without a proper concession, rendering the arrangement illegal.

The local government has been in negotiations with Gardaland’s management over compensation for past and future management of these parking spaces. The municipality states it will enforce the ruling and pursue administrative and legal actions to recover any due amounts, maintaining openness to institutional dialogue as per legal procedures.
